The plain truth is even if you are taking Ambien or Lunesta to cure your insomnia, you should know  that both of those drugs are only effective when used for the short term relief of insomnia.

A clinical trial found that after administration of zolpidem trial subjects tended to feel weak, fatigued and developed an antagonistic mood. Other reported side effects include: Residual ‘hangover’ effects such as sleepiness, impaired psycho-motor and cognitive skills after nighttime administration and  may persist into the next day, which may impair the ability of users to drive safely and may increase the risks of falls and hip fractures.
